Mike Kolodny and Laura Pierce, two very talented jazz musicians, created an interactive, instructional course on listening to jazz, originally called Jazz and the Art of Creative Listening. A smaller booklet called I Love Jazz was published while the former and more ambitious project was underway. They desired original artwork that was abstract, ethereal and unique - something that visually represented the emotions that jazz can evoke. Here are a few pages from the smaller booklet, along with some of the original digital art that Laurie did for the larger project.
